Our quest for perfection in Pinot Noir led us west to the far reaches of Santa Barbara County.
This 620-acre ranch named for Fess' daughter is only 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean making it the western most vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley growing appellation. This site is very cold by grape growing standards, but the gently sloping hillsides and the sandy-loam soils bode well for producing first class, Burgundian styled Pinot Noir.
