Dear Mr. Parker
This might be the first letter you receive from Gran Canaria (The Canary Islands, Spain).
As a small boy I got familiar with Daniel Boone once a week through a black and white TV. I have a very fertile memory, with a capacity to retain smells, scenes and impressions from my childhood. You, Mr. Boone, is one of the most important.
In the 60´s, when I was ten years old, my world was reduced to my village, my parents, my fantasy and the Great Adventure represented by Daniel Boone.
This, Mr. Parker, is the reason why I, litterally, associate you with the best moments of my childhood. And probably of my life.
You are one of the pieces in the puzzle that together builds my 47 years long life. THANK YOU for that.
Through the edition of your TV-series in DVD, I´m trying to give the hapiness, the moral and the integrity of your character to my six year old doughter Elina, half swedish, half spanish. When strolling through your wineyards in California, please meditate a moment about the international importance of your mythical character, Boone, and how he - and you as a magnificent actor - have influenced in various generations around the world. Including this little corner in the Canary Islands....
I believe you can feel satisfied with your life.
From our heart, good luck to you in all the days of your future.
With affection,
Antonio Acosta & Elina Gran Canaria, SPAIN
PS. Would it be possible to ask for a signed photo for me and Elina?
