Wine-Specific Policies
Legal Requirements
You must be 21 years of age or older to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Fess Parker Family Portfolio. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). Wines purchased from Fess Parker Family Portfolio are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
Please ensure that someone of legal age is present at the time of delivery to sign for your package. Also, please note that wine cannot be delivered to visibly intoxicated persons. Any person unable to provide age verification or who is visibly intoxicated will forfeit their right to receive the shipment at that time. In such circumstances the order may either be held in storage at a local depot of the shipping company until appropriate identification is produced, or shipped back to the winery. All associated costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
Third Party Arrangements
Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, to most states. If Fess Parker Family Portfolio is unable to ship directly to your state, we may be able to arrange for the sale and shipment of our products through a third party. Please note, when dealing through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted by Fess Parker Family Portfolio.
Locations We CANNOT Ship Wine To
Due to government regulations, we CANNOT ship WINE to the following states:
- Arkansas
- Delaware
- Indiana
- Maine
- Mississippi
- Rhode Island
- Utah
Additionally, we cannot ship wine anywhere outside of the United States nor to any of the territories of the United States (American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).
Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Fess Parker Family Portfolio is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
State Specific Limitations
In addition to the above restrictions, each state imposes limitations on the amount of wine any particular adult state resident may receive by direct shipment. We encourage you to learn more about your state's specific requirements before ordering wine. If you have any questions, please give us a call at (800) 841-1104 or send us an email at info@fessparker.com and we will be happy to help.
